Another rough weekend, Packers lost and I had strep throat. If any of your children start complaining of a sore throat and have a fever you need to get them checked out.
Literature classes will be focusing on "cause and effect" and beginning a new read aloud.
Writing classes will be working on other forms of expository texts.
Study Skills will be continuing with community service projects and starting career applications.

Rough weekend for Seahawk fans! Maybe next year, thats what I have to keep telling myself, too.
Literature classes will be turning in their book reviews in on Tuesday and starting presentations on Wednesday. They will continue throughout the week.
Writing classes will be correcting their quiz on Monday then start a narrative paper on Tuesday.
Study Skills will be continuing with their Micro-Unit project.

What an emotional weekend! Blood pressure got a little out of hand during the Steeler game, if any of you had an opportunity to watch the game you would so understand. But I'm much better today and ready to get back to school.
Literature classes will continue researching WWII and preparing to read "Man's Search for Meaning." BOOK REVIEW INFORMATION: Due to the cost of the tri-boards and the difficulty of trying to find them, students may use colored paper for the background as a way to display their information.
Writing classes will be covering common usage problems and taking a quiz on Friday.
Study Skills classes will be starting a technology unit.

Writing classes will be finishing up their grammar packet on Thursday and taking a quiz on Friday.
In literature classes, we will be starting a read aloud "Man's Search For Meaning," by Viktor E. Frankl and focusing on determining importance and supporting details.
Study Skills class will be starting their community research project.
